We've developed a show suitable for a general audience to promote contemporary science and physics, using liquid nitrogen to demonstrate dramatic effects in various topics ranging from thermodynamics, mechanics, electromagnetism and superconductivity. The show can be adapted for inside or outside venues and different audience sizes.

Please contact us by posting here, email or social networks if your institution is interested in more information about this offer.

In cooperation with Tekna in Norway we've developed a show suitable for upper secondary school level science and physics students covering topics from magnets, induction and eddy currents (Lenz' law) to levitation, cryotechnology and superconductivity. The grand finale of the show is the Möbius Maglev Train. Depending on the practical circumstances and the size of the audience, activities can be done interactively where participants (after a safety briefing, under supervision) get to try the different experiments and feel the magnetic forces with their own hands.

Products / Möbius Maglev Train on Spanish TV
« Last post by Vegard Stornes Farstad on Mon 2012-05-28 17:12 »
On 23 May 2012 the Möbius Maglev Train was featured on the Spanish TV show "El Hormiguero". The host Pablo Motos and guest Will Smith experienced the levitating superconducting train live. Read more here:

The MOSEM² Project developed a Möbius-shaped magnetic track with a diameter of 1 meter and a width of 4 cm for a superconducting maglev train. It came about as an extension of the High-Tech Kit which contains a 50 cm long linear magnetic track. There are numerous tracks coming full circle or even loops, but this was the first track in the shape of a Möbius band.

This thread is for discussing the current status and new developments for commercial versions of the kit. See here for more information:

Using the forum / Re: Three quarks for Mister Mark

PS
Why am I twofold blue bottom quark?
Wim.

The dots are there to signify different kinds of member groups in the forum. MOSEM² Project members have one blue dot, MOSEM² WP leaders have two. Before the GUI update these were stars, but now the dots are bigger and more visible.

You are the first to ask about the "quark title", congratulations! It is a way to visualize the member activity; as your number of posts increase you move from lower to higher bosons. All members start as up quarks, then they become down quarks etc. So far the Higgs particle has not been discovered...
