This is not directly connected to the topic, but right now the space shuttle Discovery is docking with the international space station,

Since I am on the topic of space, I might mention that superconductivity is used in satellites. This will be in the Applications online module, but it doesn't hurt to mention it here too:

At Girep there was a nice presentation with details on squids and how it is used to study brain activity. I have some pictures of the Powerpoint. I need to contact the author.
